On January 31, 2005, 12 environmental
friendly and low-floor public transit city buses drived to South
China from Jianghuai Auto Company(JAC). Those products will service
to Yangjiang public communication, Guangdong province.
This is the first time of JAC's city
bus marched into South China market in batch since its establishment.
More 20 sets will hand over to Yangjiang Transportation after
chinese Spring Festival.
It is reported that 12 HFC6830G public
transit city buses are the new type developed by JAC independently.
Matching JAC advanced bus chassis, introducing Europe 2 engine,
and also can compatible Europe 3 engine.

According to the introduction, after
Chinese government issued"Construction Department Suggestion
on Develop City Public Transport Priority" and "the
Technology claim of low-floor, low entrance and no-obstacle city
bus" etc. JAC catched this great opportunity, they believed
the time of increasing and updating of national city public bus
is coming.
In 2004, JAC marched into city public
bus market by the great support of Korean Hyundai and the technology
advantage of itself. The company developed a series of high technology
with reasonable price (RMB 150,000--300,000 yuan) low-floor city
public city bus in succession. The low-floor city bus is the development
trend of Chinese city bus, is also the government encouraged and
recommended city bus type.
Those JAC products won the favorable
reputation after puted on the market. JAC got an order of 132
low-floor public city buses from "a Century Celebration of
Tianjin Public Transportation", making a great positive impact
on the Chinese public transit market.04 about 3.47 million units
of passenger buses were produced and 3.46 million units were sold
by domestic auto makers. That contrasted sharply with the boom
in 2003. Things went better in the 4th quarter of last year but
it still takes time before a turning point is there.
