Weichai hopes engine sales power growth in the second half of this year if the global economy improves. The growth pace remains steady depends on the central government's tightening measures toward the overheated economy. Weichai reported a 182 percent growth in its exports of engines and machineries last year and the sales of 12-liter engines jumped fivefold to 14,000 units. Weichai anticipates the sales could reach 40,000 units by the end of this year.
