The

as super single or dual tires. The
axle's gross axle weight rate (GAWR) is 13 tonnes, and the gross vehicle weight
rating (GVWR) is 28 tonnes. Ratios range from 4.11:1 to 9.79 : 1. The IPA2G provides
a standard drop of 169mm and super drop of 184mm. Anti-lock braking and cartridge
type wheel aend bearings are standard. The axle is equipped with Meritor ELSA
225 air disc brake family. Central Tire Inflation(CTI) is given as option. "The
new IPA2G allows a bus manufacturer to design the lowest floor and widest aisle.
Further, the axle will offer overall reductions in weight, an improved noise level,
possibility to package longer pro-shaft, more efficiency and less cost of ownership."
said Alessandro Mortali, General Manager Europe. The
company's Meritor coach axles and brakes are designed to effectively meet the
extremes of operating conditions that these vehicles endure, from urban stop-start
city bus applications to high-speed, long-distance coach operations. Editor:Ida
